Just realized Target has this trade-in program where you can literally turn your old electronics into gift cards. Like, you know those phones and laptops gathering dust in your drawer? Apparently they'll take them even if they're beat up and give you store credit based on the condition and current market value.

The process is pretty straightforward - you either start online, get a quote for your device, print a prepaid shipping label and send it in, or walk into a store and let an associate handle it. Takes a bit though, not instant. Once they analyze your stuff, boom, you get a Target gift card. Some items need chargers included to get the full value, so check that first.

What's cool is you can actually declutter responsibly instead of throwing electronics in the trash. Plus you get money back to spend at Target. The catch? The trade-in value might be lower than what you'd get selling it elsewhere, and there's no negotiating the offer. Also you're stuck using the credit only at Target, so that's something to consider. But if you've got old devices piling up and you shop there anyway, might as well get something back from them. Worth checking if your local store participates or just doing it online through their website.
