Just been looking into what the cheapest brand new car options actually are, and honestly some of these prices aren't as bad as I thought. So there's this whole list of cars under $25k that people don't really talk about enough.
Starting with the Mitsubishi Mirage at around $18k - yeah it's slow and won't turn heads, but if you're in the city it's perfect. Gets great mileage too. Then you've got the Kia Forte jumping up to like $21k, which is interesting because the interior is actually pretty decent for the price. Nissan Sentra's in that same range, maybe a couple hundred more, and people seem to really like the space and comfort you get.
The Hyundai Elantra's sitting at like $22,775 and apparently it's solid for first-time car buyers. Toyota Corolla's around $23k and honestly that one's the safe choice - reliable, practical, does everything fine. Last one is the Volkswagen Jetta at just under $25k, and supposedly the newer model is actually cheaper than the older one which is wild.
So yeah if you're hunting for the cheapest brand new car that actually works, these six are worth checking out. Most of them have decent fuel economy and aren't complete garbage, which is the bare minimum I guess. Anyone else been shopping around lately or just me?
