Just saw that Pioneer Natural Resources brought in Richard P. Dealy as their new CEO starting January 1st. This guy was already the President and COO there, so it's kind of an internal promotion. He's replacing Scott Sheffield who retired at the end of 2023. Dealy has like 30+ years in the oil and gas industry, so not exactly a rookie move for the company. Interesting how they're keeping it in-house rather than bringing someone external. Wonder if that signals confidence in their current direction or if they're just playing it safe.
