Just scrolled through some side hustle stuff and honestly, making $500 a week sounds way more doable than I thought. Like, if you can figure out how to make $500 a day consistently, you're basically golden, but even hitting that weekly target opens up some legit options.

So apparently renting out space is huge. People are making decent money just listing spare rooms or garages on Airbnb – average comes out to like $44k a year if you're doing it right. There's also apps where you can rent out random unused corners for storage. That's kind of wild.

Pet sitting and dog walking seem to be where the real money is though. I saw this example of a guy in NYC making over $100k a year just walking dogs six hours a day. Apps like Rover let you set your own rates and you can make tips on top. Some people are doing dog boarding too and apparently that doubles what you'd make as just a walker.

Other options that caught my eye – housesitting pays like $25 to $150 a night depending on where you live, wrapping your car in ads gets you $100-$500 monthly just for driving around, and teaching English online is like $14-$22 an hour if you want something more flexible.

The freelance market's been growing too. Over half the US workforce did some kind of freelance work and that was a few years ago, so it's probably even bigger now. Honestly if you need to hit that $500 a week target, you could probably mix a couple of these together and make it work with whatever schedule you've got.
