just realized there's actually a ton of ways how to make money online as a teenager and i've been sleeping on this lol. like everyone knows about surveys and stuff but there's legit other options i didn't think about before.

so basically you can do the obvious things like take surveys on swagbucks or inboxdollars (though ngl the pay is kinda mid), but then there's actually interesting stuff too. like if you're into gaming, you can test apps and games for money or just play on mypoints. or if you have decent wifi, honeygain literally pays you just to share your internet connection—it's passive income which is wild. they say you could make like $20/month just by sharing data while you sleep.

the more creative route is where it gets good though. graphic design, video editing, writing, photography—if you have any of these skills you can actually charge real money for them. freelance writing especially seems solid because you can ghostwrite for people and they don't even need to know who you are. etsy is another one if you're crafty, and you can sell digital stuff so you don't need to buy materials constantly.

if you're brave, starting a youtube channel or blog could work too. takes longer to make real money but some people actually do it. and there's also reselling—flipping items on ebay or selling clothes on poshmark if you've got stuff you don't wear anymore.

for how to make money online as a teenager without any special skills, customer service reps get paid hourly which is way better than surveys. and honestly if you're good with social media, managing accounts for small businesses is pretty doable.

the thing nobody talks about though is that you should actually save this money instead of spending it immediately. like open a bank account, maybe invest some of it. fidelity has accounts for teens and you can literally start buying stocks. i know investing sounds boring but starting young is actually the move.

tax stuff is real too—if you make over a certain amount you gotta file taxes, so keep track of everything. but yeah, how to make money online as a teenager is definitely possible and there's way more options than i thought.
