These days, I see L2s arguing over TPS, fees, and subsidies again, arguing like a market stall... I'm actually more concerned about how ordinary people use it without feeling awkward. The mainnet is like the tide, gas prices go up and it hurts; L2 experiences are indeed smooth, but transferring back and forth always makes me worry about getting stuck someday.
My current compromise is pretty simple: small transactions and daily transfers stay on L2 for convenience; if I need to hold something long-term or don't want to deal with bridges and cross-chain hassles, I honestly go back to the mainnet. It's more expensive, but I sleep better. A friend asked me yesterday, "Which L2 should I use?" I said, don't just look at the advertised lowest fees, first see if you'll be transacting frequently. That's it for now.
