Got laid off or between gigs? Yeah, it sucks. But honestly, there are some solid ways to make money while you're job hunting that don't require you to just sit around stressed. I've been looking into this lately since knowing people in transition.

First thing - bridge jobs are underrated. Like, grab a temp role as an office assistant or something similar. You're earning cash while actually picking up real skills that beef up your resume. Win-win situation if you ask me.

Or just jump into food service. Servers, baristas, fast food - places are always hiring and turnover is crazy high. Pay's not amazing but it keeps the lights on while you search for something better.

Seasonal work is actually pretty clever too. Depending on the time of year, there's retail during holidays, lifeguard gigs in summer, Halloween store stuff in fall. Easy to jump in and out of.

And if you've got a skill - writing, design, photography - freelancing is a legit way to make money between jobs. Some people end up liking the freelance life so much they just stay with it. Honestly seems like the smartest move if you can swing it financially.
