On April 1st, the home appliance industry ushered in a new round of collective price increases, with many brands announcing price hikes of 5%-30% for products such as air conditioners and refrigerators. In response to the industry-wide price adjustments, Gree Electric’s CMO Zhu Lei clearly stated to the media today: Gree protects consumer interests—no price increases, no downgrades, no tricks. Zhu Lei said, “Gree household air conditioners will resolutely not raise prices, maintaining stable prices during the national subsidy period, with unchanged quality and genuine copper materials, ensuring that the national trade-in subsidy benefits reach consumers 100%. This is what Chairwoman Dong Mingzhu has always emphasized: companies should not only consider short-term costs but also long-term conscience. This has always been Gree’s business principle.” (Yicai)
