So I've been looking for ways to actually get paid for my daily walks and found this whole ecosystem of apps that do exactly that. Like, why wouldn't you download something that turns your steps into gift cards, right?

Started with Evidation - you can earn up to 80 points a day just for walking, biking, running, whatever. It syncs with Fitbit, Apple Watch, Google Fit and a bunch of other trackers. Once you hit 10,000 points you get a $10 reward. Pretty straightforward. There's also Charity Miles if you want your walks to actually mean something - you pick a charity and your miles get donated to them. You just need someone to sponsor you though.

If you're competitive like me, StepBet is actually kind of fun. You literally bet money on yourself to hit your fitness goals over six weeks. They take 15% but guarantee you won't lose money if you reach your goal. PK Rewards is more chill - earn coins based on effort and trade them for Starbucks, Amazon, Disney gift cards. The walk for cash apps thing is real, just gotta find which one fits your style.

Then there's Paceline which focuses on active minutes through your watch - 150 per week and you get to pick a prize. Winwalk is super basic if you just want a simple pedometer that gives you gift cards. Paidtogo is probably the most direct - up to 10 cents per mile, capped at $75 monthly, but it's subscription based so you gotta actually use it.

Honestly, none of these are gonna make you rich. Like, don't quit your job. But if you need that little push to actually go outside and move instead of sitting on the couch, these walk for cash apps might be exactly the motivation you need. Plus you get free stuff out of it which is always a win.
