It's pouring outside and traffic is a total jam. My coffee in the car cooled off after just a little while... Suddenly I realized that cross-chain stuff is also pretty similar to traffic jams—rushing over blindly is the easiest way to get into trouble. Recently, new L1/L2 projects are incentivizing to pull in TVL, and the group chat is starting to complain again about "mining, selling," I also get itchy and want to jump in, but don’t treat cross-chain bridges as teleportation portals.
Multi-signature sounds very secure, but it's really just "a few people signing together." With fewer people, it's like a single key—if something goes wrong, you might not even find the person to argue with; oracles are more like traffic reports—if they report an error once, the bridge might give the wrong message and let through or block the vehicle. As for "waiting for confirmation," honestly, it just means not making a hard turn when the red light is flashing—wait a few more minutes, at least to avoid rollbacks or reorganization disasters beforehand.
Anyway, I now default to cross-chain practices: small test transactions, batch transfers, avoid crossing if possible... Airdrops might not be guaranteed, but better not to blow up your wallet first.
