I just wanted to transfer a small amount from the mainnet to do a quick interaction, but seeing that gas estimate made me fully alert... Honestly, ordinary people face two difficulties: to save on fees, they go to L2, but bridging back and forth risks slipping up and waiting for confirmation; to keep it simple, they stay on the mainnet, but the experience is "stable," and the wallet takes the hit first.

My current compromise is: for daily small, frequent transactions, I keep them on L2 as a kind of pocket money; if I need to hold long-term or for larger amounts, I only go to the mainnet once for a bulk transfer. I’m not chasing the fastest bridge; I prefer to wait for an extra confirmation and keep my heartbeat steady.

Recently, everyone has been explaining all the ups and downs with ETF fund flows and U.S. stock risk appetite, and it sounds a lot like weather forecasts... Anyway, I just want to walk my own path first, without stressing myself out over saving two bucks in gas. That’s all for now.
