My current approach with L2 is very simple: small, high-frequency trades go to the second layer, the mainnet only handles two things—funds in and out / switching to larger positions, and conveniently clearing all authorizations. Honestly, when gas fees are high, the experience can really wear people out and test their patience, but to save a little on transaction fees, running around clicking on cross-chain links and connecting wallets randomly is also pretty scary… I’d rather wait two more minutes to use the official bridge than install several shady “accelerators” of unknown origin.
Recently, there’s a major chain that’s about to upgrade, and everyone in the group is guessing whether the project will move or not. My first reaction isn’t “migration good or bad,” but rather: another bunch of new domain names, new pop-ups, new “re-authorizations,” and my obsessive-compulsive disorder is probably going to go nuts. Anyway, the habit of clearing permissions every week has saved me several times—what about you?
