Lately, I've been watching governance votes, and the more I watch, the more I think that "slowness" is actually quite important. Delegated voting was originally meant to save effort, but gradually it has turned into a few people holding a bunch of votes, and frankly, who the governance tokens actually govern… Sometimes it's not "the community decides," but "who has the longer delegation list" that decides.
Now, whenever I encounter a new proposal, I first take a moment: review the interaction flow, where the funds come from, who has the permissions, and who holds the emergency switch. Especially recently, with hardware wallets out of stock and phishing links everywhere, everyone's security awareness has improved, but when it comes to voting, it's easier to just delegate everything with a single click for convenience. Anyway, I prefer to vote fewer times rather than bundle my rights and send them off as chips for oligarchs.
