Recently, reading DAO proposals has made me want to laugh a little: on the surface, they discuss "giving the community more power," but upon closer inspection of the incentive clauses, I realize that who gets voting rights and who can receive ongoing subsidies have long been written into the power structure. Many people only focus on the outcome options, but I tend to look first at "who pays, how the money is distributed, and to whom," in other words, voting is just the final rubber stamp.

Recently, the incentives for testnets and the expectations for points have become popular again, and everyone in the group is guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens. I also get the itch to click on a few tasks, but the more I look, the more I feel: points are not rewards; they are a way to buy attention and votes in advance. Anyway, I see complexity as an enemy, so I first look at proposals as a "flow of benefits" diagram to understand clearly, then decide whether to participate—don't get carried away by pretty words.
