During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China issued 210 national standards in the logistics sector.
Today (the 2nd), a reporter learned from a special press conference on logistics standardization hosted by the General Administration of Market Regulation that logistics connects production and consumption, domestic trade and foreign trade, and is a foundational, strategic, and leading industry supporting the development of the national economy. During the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, China has cumulatively released 210 national standards in the logistics sector, with breakthroughs achieved in multiple areas. First, standards for logistics pallets and turnover containers have been centrally revised and upgraded. Thirteen standards—including flat pallets, skateboard pallets, and fruit-and-vegetable turnover containers—were issued to ensure that national standards align with international standards, and that product-specific standards work in coordination with general methodology standards. Second, national standards for multimodal transport are being accelerated to address remaining gaps. A total of 16 national standards have been developed and released in succession, including multimodal transport cargo classification codes, cargo volume calculation, multimodal transport vehicles, and waybills, to improve the level of integrated connection in multimodal transport. In addition, efforts to develop mandatory logistics standards have continued to be strengthened. Efforts have been made to formulate 20 mandatory national standards, including green packaging for express delivery, limits on fuel consumption for commercial vehicles, and transport of dangerous goods, which has strongly promoted technological innovation and enhanced logistics safety and emergency response capabilities.
