US Media: US Intelligence Agencies Assess That About Half of Iran's Missile Launch Devices Are Intact

Xinhua News Agency Washington, April 2 - According to reports from CNN on the 2nd, assessments by U.S. intelligence agencies show that although the U.S. and Israel have conducted military operations against Iran for five weeks, about half of Iran’s missile launch facilities remain intact, and thousands of suicide drones have been preserved.

The report quotes sources saying that the reason Iran’s missile launch facilities have not been heavily damaged is mainly because they have the ability to move underground and hide. Additionally, Iran uses mobile platforms to implement a “hit-and-run” tactic, making it very difficult to track these launch sites.

Sources say that besides the existing missile launch facilities, Iran still maintains a large stockpile of missiles. Moreover, Iran’s coastal cruise missile operational capabilities may still be largely intact.

U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a nationwide televised speech on the evening of the 1st, claiming that the military actions against Iran achieved a “quick, decisive, and overwhelming victory.” The U.S. military is “systematically destroying” Iran’s military capabilities, “the Iranian navy has been completely destroyed, and its air force and missile programs have also been heavily damaged,” Iran’s missiles are “close to depletion or have been destroyed,” and America’s core strategic objectives are “close to completion.” (End)
