Mars Finance reports that on April 19, two Pakistani security sources, according to Al Jazeera, said that negotiations between the United States and Iran are likely to take place before Friday. The sources noted that their assessment is based on several factors: two U.S. heavy transport aircraft (C-17 Globemaster III) have landed at Noor Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi. The base is located near Islamabad, Pakistan’s capital. In addition, the road from the airport to Islamabad’s Red Zone has been temporarily closed, indicating that security measures have been upgraded. The Serena Hotel and the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad are evacuating guests and will not accept new reservations before Friday. The Serena Hotel is where the first round of US-Iran talks on April 11 was held. According to monitoring by PolyBeats, on the prediction market Polymarket, the probability of “US-Iran next diplomatic meeting” before the 22nd (next Wednesday) is 52%, and the probability before the 30th is as high as 73%.
