Unilever confirms it is in negotiations over a proposal to acquire its food business from McCormick.

On March 20th, there were reports that Unilever is in talks with American condiment manufacturer McCormick to merge its food business. Unilever responded by saying that the company’s board believes the food business is highly attractive, with market-leading brands in growth categories, solid financial health, and confidence in the food division as part of Unilever’s portfolio. Unilever confirmed that it has received acquisition offers for its food business and is in negotiations with McCormick. It is currently unclear whether any deal will be reached. (Jiemian News)
