Mars Finance reports that on April 19, after KelpDAO’s rsETH was attacked via the LayerZero OFT cross-chain bridge (loss of approximately 116,500 rsETH, worth about $292 million), several protocols paused related functions or markets to prevent potential risks. Among them, Ethena, Lombard, Euler Labs, TRON DAO, ApeCoin/ApeChain, ether.fi, mETH Protocol, Solv Protocol, MOCA Foundation, River, and others paused the LayerZero OFT cross-chain bridge. They emphasized that there is no direct rsETH exposure and that user assets are safe; the pauses are precautionary measures, with a short-term recovery expected. Additionally, protocols such as Aave V3/V4, SparkLend, Lido, Fluid, and others have frozen rsETH-related markets or treasuries but did not involve pausing bridging functions.
