【Company Information】

Sphere 3D Corp. was incorporated on May 2, 2007, under the Business Corporation Act. Sphere 3D provides solutions for independent storage and technology that integrate traditional silos of computing, storage, and networking into an integrated hyper-converged or converged solution. The company offers enterprise storage management solutions, as well as connectivity to public cloud services like Microsoft Azure, providing additional delivery options and hybrid cloud capabilities. Its integrated solutions include a portfolio of patents for storage operating systems, proprietary virtual desktop orchestration software, and proprietary application container software. The company’s software, combined with commodity x86 servers or dedicated hardware, aims to deliver application mobility, security, data integrity, and simplified management. These solutions can be deployed via public, private, or hybrid clouds and are delivered through a global network of resellers and professional services organizations. The company owns a brand portfolio including SnapServer, HVE ConneXions, and UCX ConneXions, dedicated to helping customers achieve their IT goals. In November 2018, the company divested Overland Storage, Inc., along with its subsidiaries and related product lines for long-term archiving and RDX removable disk products. This asset divestiture was intended to significantly reduce secured debt and allow the company to focus more resources on its converged and hyper-converged product portfolio.
