Wu learned that Galaxy Digital Research Director Alex Thorn stated that the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has added a total of 518 Bitcoin addresses to the sanctions list (SDN list). These addresses have historically received approximately 249.8k BTC, sent out about 239.7k BTC, and currently still hold a net of about 9,306 BTC, which is roughly valued at $707 million at current prices. He added that being listed on the SDN list means the related assets will be frozen, and U.S. entities are prohibited from engaging in any transactions with them.
