Last night after I clocked off, I reached into my pocket and—again—was missing a charger… Suddenly I feel like this stuff is pretty similar to attention: I keep getting it left behind on all kinds of “hot spots.” Once discussions about rate-cut expectations, the US Dollar Index, and risk assets moving together heat up, I’m easy to start getting antsy and chase a couple of moves. Then after fees and slippage are deducted, it feels like I basically ran an order for takeout for nothing.

Now I’m hard-setting a route for myself: only do the two or three chains/protocols I can actually understand; if the bridge and wallet interactions are troublesome, I’m just straight up passing—directly pass. If I see a new narrative, I’ll set it aside for a night; if I still want to open it the next day, then I’ll do it. In plain terms, less “I’m afraid I’ll miss out,” more “I’m afraid I’ll get harvested again.” Besides, if I lose a charger, I can always buy another—but if I lose my attention, it really isn’t coming back.
