On the 13th local time, in the southern Sa’na Square in the Yemeni capital and in various locations controlled by the Houthi armed forces, Yemeni people held rallies to support the Palestinian people and condemn the United States and Israel for continuously launching military strikes against Iran.
That day, Yemeni people braved the rain to hold a rally at Sa’na’s southern square.
The protesters expressed anger and condemnation over the ongoing war launched by the US and Israel against Iran.
The Houthi leadership stated that their affiliated armed forces are ready and will engage in armed confrontation at the front lines if the situation changes.
This move is believed to potentially threaten the security of international shipping in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, and has raised concerns about the possible closure of the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
The Bab el-Mandeb Strait, guarding the southern part of the Red Sea, is as famous as the Strait of Hormuz and is one of the world’s most important energy transportation routes.
