A pipe fitter, David Cook, is expressing sadness as he prepares for his final shift at Lindsey Oil Refinery in North Killingholme. The refinery was taken over by an official receiver in June 2025 following its owner Prax’s collapse and will be bought by Phillips 66. Cook, 63, worked for contractors at the site for 14 years and is among many facing job loss, though some employees have been offered roles with Phillips 66 or retained temporarily.
