According to China State Shipbuilding Corporation, the second domestically produced large cruise ship, the “Ida Huacheng,” completed dock water filling today (14th) and successfully floated.
After the “Ida Huacheng” cruise ship completed dock water filling and floated, it was moved to the front dock chamber for tilt testing.
Tilt testing is a key technical step in launching a cruise ship, which can determine the vessel’s weight and center of gravity, closely related to the ship’s stability safety and passenger comfort.
It is reported that this docking operation will last seven days, and subsequent tests will include lifeboat detachment and dock cruising, verifying the performance of 18 super-large lifeboats and 2 rescue boats under normal and emergency conditions.
The ship is planned to officially leave the dock on March 20, fully entering the system debugging and interior finishing stage.
Follow-up will include sea trials starting at the end of May, with delivery scheduled before the end of the year.
