Recently, I've been looking at LSTs and re-staking again. Honestly, there are only two sources of profit: one is the block rewards from staking itself, and the other is the subsidies gained by lending out "security/validation" (many of which are actually projects paying you to participate). So it's normal for testnet incentives and points systems to be popular topics, and everyone in the group is guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens... But I have my doubts: how long can these profits last? If they stop, it might just be a "mental comfort."

The risks are also roughly twofold: fluctuations in the underlying assets + various pitfalls at the protocol level (contracts, operations, or even rule changes that could wipe out your points). For someone like me who prioritizes sleep, I try not to hold positions based on "potential airdrops in the future." If I can get some, I treat it as an extra snack; if I can't, I won't get upset. That's the plan for now.
