The Polish parliament once again failed to override President Karol Nawrocki's veto of the crypto regulation bill in a vote on Friday, maintaining the country's deadlock on digital asset regulation. The vote saw 243 lawmakers oppose the veto, 191 support it, falling short of the 263 votes needed to overturn it. The bill, supported by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, aims to align Polish law with the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), making Poland the only EU member state yet to implement the framework. President Nawrocki had previously vetoed the bill multiple times, citing concerns over excessive regulation, limited transparency, and the potential burden on small businesses.
