CryptoWorld News reports, according to Sing Tao Headlines, that two mainland men with double-journey permits, Wang Bochuan (27 years old) and Xu Zilan (24 years old), are accused of raping a woman at the Mong Kok Royal View Hotel (23 Nathan Street) on November 4, 2025. Both are charged with one count of rape and have been remanded since mid-November 2025 for over five months. The case was mentioned today (April 18) at the West Kowloon Magistrates' Court, where the prosecution's application to withdraw the charges was approved. One defendant applied for legal costs, which the prosecution opposed, stating that the two had admitted to engaging with the complainant and only agreed to provide their phone passwords for police investigation the month after being charged. After seeking legal advice, the prosecution decided to withdraw the charges. Acting Principal Magistrate Wong Nga-yin believed the defendants had no self-incriminating evidence and approved the legal costs. It was confirmed that both employees had previously worked for ME (formerly CryptoWorld).
