April 18 — On April 18, U.S. Central Command announced that U.S. military forces are implementing a maritime blockade on ships entering and leaving Iranian ports and adjacent coastal areas. According to the statement, since the start of the blockade, 23 ships have followed U.S. military instructions and turned back.
