Chinese Customs data show that in January 2026, China’s refined nickel imports were 22,066.33 tons, a decrease of 1,328 tons from the previous month, a decline of 5.68%; compared to the same period last year, a decrease of 3,513 tons, a decline of 13.73%. The net import of refined nickel was 18,252.6 tons, an increase of 135.00% month-on-month and an increase of 274.67% year-on-year. In February 2026, China’s refined nickel imports were 16,930.903 tons, a decrease of 5,135 tons from the previous month, a decline of 23.27%; an increase of 9,333 tons compared to the same period last year, an increase of 122.85%. This month, the net import of refined nickel was 14,664.072 tons, a decrease of 62.85% month-on-month and a decrease of 172.99% year-on-year.
