In the past two days, the group has been talking about "a certain stablecoin losing its peg" and "reserve audits being suspicious." When emotions run high, everyone starts wildly posting address screenshots saying "Look, smart money has run." I have to pour some cold water: address profiling can be referenced, but don’t treat it as gospel. Many tags are user-generated, and algorithmic clustering can lump together a hot wallet of an exchange, intermediary addresses for market making, or even "change addresses" used by the same group of people, like a gym stacking different people's dumbbells—who's actually lifting?
The same goes for fund flows. Seeing "outflows" might just mean chain swaps, custody transfers, or internal rebalancing. If you really want to use it, treat it like a body fat scale: trends are useful, don’t take the numbers too seriously. My approach is simple: when I hear rumors, I first turn off my hands, then verify the source, and finally rehearse my own positions and permissions again. Don’t let others’ tags lead you around by the nose.
