I set a little rule for myself: when it comes to cross-chain bridges, no matter how urgent, I have to "wait for confirmation." It's not about feeling secure after a few seconds; it's about waiting until I can figure out what exactly is supporting it—who is signing the multi-signature, where the oracle data is coming from, and whether someone can hit the pause button if something goes wrong. Recently, the debate between L2s about TPS, fees, and subsidies has been going on again, and I just want to laugh: if the bridge layer loosens, no matter how fast the transactions above are, it’s just a slippery slope. Anyway, I’d rather be a bit slower and avoid the self-deprecating moments of "it’s stuck again" or "the funds didn’t arrive again."
