Today, I checked on-chain data again and experienced a "lag," but it's not my internet connection; several layers in the middle are fighting. Many dashboards actually first read from subgraphs/indexers, which need to parse and store new blocks before providing data for queries; when reorganization or indexing falls behind, you'll see a delay in balances/transactions. Below that is RPC, where everyone is competing for the same node, and once rate limiting kicks in, it’s like waiting in line for a number, causing the front end to just spin in circles. Modularization and the DA layer narrative have been quite popular among developers recently, but the user experience still feels like: why is it lagging again… Anyway, I personally monitor large holders' movements by opening multiple data sources for comparison, not relying on a single dashboard, and I don’t treat "delays" as signals. Keeping a light position and taking it slow is just a way to reduce noise for myself.
