Recently, whenever the mainnet gas starts, I get a bit timid. To be blunt, it’s not about saving those few bucks—it’s that I’m afraid that if I press a button, I’ll have to wait for half a day and still fail… the experience is just too bad. Now it’s basically like this: for everyday interactions, playing with testnet chain games, and grabbing a few small airdrops, I just drop them onto L2. If I really need to do “important operations” (transfer large amounts, swap key assets, clear authorizations), then I go back to the mainnet and get everything done in one go—I’d rather do fewer operations. I also have a small habit: use a small amount first to probe, and see whether the bridge and wallet pop-ups are acting weird.
These past two days, the funding rate has been extremely extreme again. In the group chat, people are arguing about whether to bet on a reversal or keep squeezing the bubble—I’m actually even more unwilling to keep chasing back and forth on the mainnet… One round of messing with gas is enough to calm me down. As for “long-term,” I’m pretty relaxed myself. If I can hold for a month without getting my positions messed up by my own impulsiveness, that’s already considered long-term—quarterly-level holds? I really wouldn’t dare pretend I’m in it for that. That’s it for now.
