Today I saw several large addresses making a series of moves on the blockchain, and the group started shouting "whales are buying, follow quickly."
My first reaction now isn't to rush in, but to think: Are they building a position, or hedging/moving positions?
Many times what you see is an entry, but actually the other side has already opened a counter-position, and the net exposure hasn't changed.
If you follow, you'll just become emotional fuel.
The phrase on the note "Look at net positions first, then consider the direction" was also pulled out and stuck on the table again...
Airdrop season also feels similar; task platforms are cracking down more and more on anti-witching, and the points system has squeezed the grifters like clocking in at work.
Everyone is anxious, but rushing most easily leads to losing discipline.
Stay calm, at least I will follow the rules first.
