Unrealized losses are really quite tormenting, even more so than unrealized gains that can keep you awake. When you're making a profit, you'll think "Don't get too excited too early," and when you're losing, your mind automatically plays "Should I cut, will it go to zero, am I just getting rug-pulled again"... Even though you haven't sold yet, your body already acts like you've lost money, and your heartbeat becomes irrational.

Recently, I've seen everyone rushing to testnet incentives, stacking points, guessing whether the mainnet will issue tokens. I understand, after all, "not making a profit" doesn't hurt, "possibly losing" does. Basically, it's loss aversion: you're afraid of missing out, but you're actually more afraid of wasting effort for nothing. Anyway, I now only focus on real transactions and address retention, let the excitement be, sleep is more important.
