Just now I was taught a lesson by the mempool again... When there's congestion, you submit a transaction, which is basically lining up. A bunch of people are paying extra to cut in line, and your transaction just gets stuck, spinning around, showing pending in your wallet. The mood is like waiting for an elevator: will it come or not? What's more annoying is watching the gas price keep rising, and when you want to cancel, you're afraid canceling will cost money too. Anyway, it's just anxiety layered on top of anxiety.

Recently, after the wave of cross-chain bridge hacks, I’ve become even more cautious. Seeing the words "waiting for confirmation" reflexively makes me want to wait a few more blocks. Even outrageous oracle quotes are the same. When the chain is uncertain, I’d rather go slower and not rush those few minutes.

By the way, I muted the group chat, and the world became much quieter... No longer being urged "hurry, hurry," and instead I can calmly look at my task list. If I get stuck, I get stuck. I’ll go drink some water first and then come back to focus.
