So I just found out there are actually jobs where you get paid to sleep and now I'm questioning all my life choices lol. Like, not just lounging around, but legit positions where sleeping is part of the work. Apparently this is a real thing and I had no idea.

First one is mattress testing - companies literally hire people to sleep on their products and give feedback. Hotel chains do it too. Imagine getting paid to nap on different beds all day, that's wild. Then there's pet sitting where you basically stay at someone's place while their dog or cat sleeps, and you can sleep the whole night as long as nothing goes wrong. I could actually see myself doing that.

There's also sleep study research where hospitals pay you to participate in sleep experiments. They monitor your patterns and you get paid per visit, sometimes multiple sessions. Sounds a bit clinical but the money's there. And overnight caregiving is probably the most realistic - you're there in case someone needs help at night, but if they sleep through, you can too. It's like getting paid to just... be present and sleep.

Honestly never thought paid to sleep jobs were an actual career path. The mattress tester thing especially seems too good to be true but apparently it happens. Might be worth looking into if you're tired of your regular gig.
