Been noticing my grocery bill creeping up like crazy lately, so I finally got around to checking out some of these money-saving apps everyone keeps mentioning. Honestly, a few are actually legit.
Flipp's probably the easiest one—just set your location and you can see all the weekly sales ads from like 2000+ stores in one place instead of bouncing between a million apps. I've been using it to scan for deals at Walmart and Kroger before I head out. Supposedly you can save around 20% if you actually use it.
Checkout 51 and Fetch are pretty similar—you just snap your receipt and get cash back or points. The difference is Fetch has way more eligible items, so it's less annoying. Flashfood's kind of wild if you're into that stuff—discounted produce and meat that's about to go out of date, sometimes half off. Definitely worth checking if your local store uses it.
Capital One Shopping also does grocery deals now, which I didn't expect. And obviously your grocery store's own app usually has the best personalized deals anyway.
Honestly the grocery store sales app situation is pretty solid if you actually take 30 seconds to use them. Have you tried any of these, or am I just late to the game?
