Just scrolled through some wild stories about American teen entrepreneurs and honestly, the money these kids are making is insane. Like, we're talking about teenagers with net worths that most people won't hit in their entire lives.
Starting with Donald Dougher - the guy branded himself as 'Richest Kid in America' and built a following of like 250k on Instagram. His YouTube channel has over 570k subscribers and he was pulling pranks, flexing his lifestyle, the whole thing. Stacker estimates his net worth at around $1.2 million. Though he's been pretty quiet lately - his last YouTube upload was back in June 2022, so who knows what he's up to now.
Then there's Isabella Barrett, also 18. She started out on that TLC reality show 'Toddlers and Tiaras' but pivoted hard into fashion. Launched House of Baretti and started selling designer clothing for young women. That move alone got her to an estimated $2 million net worth as of mid-2024.
Alina Morse might be one of my favorites though. She literally created Zolli Candy - sugar-free lollipops that are actually good for your teeth. Started this in 2014 when she was basically a kid herself. The estimates vary (WomLEAD said $2 million back in 2022, but Stacker's pegging her higher at around $6 million), but either way, that's serious money for building something people actually want.
Evan Moana's been at this YouTube thing for over twelve years with his EvanTubeHD channel. 7 million subscribers. Family-friendly content, tons of views. Stacker puts his net worth at approximately $12 million. Pretty wild for someone who started this before being a teenager.
But then there's Ryan Kaji - and this kid is on another level entirely. Ryan's World has 38.2 million subscribers. We're talking over $100 million in estimated net worth. His first video was literally just unboxing a LEGO set in March 2015, and that single video has over 54 million views now. The money he's made from YouTube is absolutely staggering.
What's interesting about all these cases is how different paths led to serious wealth - some through YouTube, some through product innovation, some through fashion. But the common thread is they all found their lane early and executed. Makes you think about what opportunities are out there if you actually put in the work.
