Stablecoins, to put it simply, are "trust bundles." Usually, no one wants to unzip them, but once someone says they might not be fully redeemable, everyone starts to panic, and withdrawals happen faster than on-chain congestion... then gas fees also skyrocket, and my address queues make me doubt my life. Reserve transparency is really not just a face project; it’s best if people can understand at a glance: where the money is, how it's stored, when they can withdraw it. Otherwise, no matter how many audit reports there are, they can't stop the group chat from saying "Run away." Modular/DeFi layer narrative developers are having a blast, but users only care about: Can I withdraw? Don’t freeze my funds for half a day. Don’t make me pay extra gas. Anyway, my current simple approach is to diversify storage, keep some on-chain small change as "escape funds," so that if something really happens, I won't die just from transaction fees.
