Been looking at some names that could potentially deliver serious multibagger returns if the timing works out right. The thing about stocks that will 10x is you have to be willing to take on real risk, but there are definitely some sectors heating up that seem worth watching.
Let me start with something that caught my attention - the flying car space. Archer Aviation trades under ACHR and they're one of the main players pushing electric vertical takeoff vehicles. Their midnight eVTOL was supposed to hit FAA certification around 2025, which would be a game changer if it actually happens. The stock was trading around $5 at the time of the original thesis, with analysts suggesting it could hit $20-75 range if things go according to plan. For actual 10x returns you'd need to see it push past $50, which is ambitious but not impossible given the transformative potential of the product. Imagine cutting a one-hour commute down to 10 minutes by literally going vertical.
Then there's the quantum computing angle. QUBT is one of the more aggressive plays in that sector. Sure, there are bigger established names, but they're not the ones with 10x potential. QUBT was trading at $0.80 with analyst targets near $9, which does math out to roughly 10x if you believe the thesis. The company more than doubled revenues in the first nine months of 2023 and locked in multiple NASA contracts, so there's actual business momentum there. Obviously the stock had taken a 50% hit in the prior year, so this is definitely high risk high reward territory.
Now, EVgo is probably the most grounded of the three picks. They're building out EV charging infrastructure, which is absolutely critical for the entire electric vehicle ecosystem to scale. What stands out here is the actual operational improvement - revenues hit $35 million in Q3 2023 with 234% growth, and they went from $50 million in losses down to $28 million. They also added over 100k new accounts. This one might not deliver 10x returns, but it's actually executing on fundamentals while many competitors in the space are struggling.
The real play with stocks that will 10x is you're betting on emerging sectors and taking on the risk that execution doesn't happen. These three represent different risk profiles - flying cars are the moonshot, quantum computing is speculative tech, and EV charging is the most fundamental. Whether any of them actually deliver those kinds of returns is another question entirely, but if you're looking at where the market could move over the next couple years, these sectors seem to have the most oxygen. Just remember that 10x returns don't come without 10x risk.
