Just saw that SEI Investments announced Alfred West, Jr. is stepping into Chairman Emeritus status - basically a lifetime honorary role after he stepped down from the board. Pretty interesting how they're handling the founder's transition. Alfred West, Jr. built this company from the ground up, so I guess this is their way of honoring that legacy while bringing in new leadership.

Carl Guarino takes over as the new Chairman starting January 1st, so the transition is already a few months in at this point. The stock was down slightly when the news first broke - trading around $82.93 in pre-market, but nothing dramatic. Honestly, these kinds of founder transitions can go either way for a company. Curious to see how the market reacts long-term with fresh leadership at the helm. Alfred West, Jr. definitely left his mark on SEI Investments though.
