Stick to 21 days

Replenish your kidney energy

1. Sleep deeply

Force yourself to sleep between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.; if there’s no urgent matter, go to bed before 11 p.m. Keep this up for a month without interruption, and you will gradually find yourself full of energy the next day, with especially good spirit and vitality.

2. Eat more protein and zinc

Consuming enough zinc, protein, and other nutrients can accelerate your body's metabolism. Foods rich in zinc include oysters, beef kidneys, pig liver, and chicken hearts. Foods high in protein include beef, fish, shrimp, dairy, and beans.

3. Take a walk after meals

Appropriate exercise can aid digestion and help strengthen the spleen and stomach. It benefits the intestines, liver, spleen, and kidneys. As the saying goes, “A hundred steps after a meal, live to ninety-nine,” which reflects this idea.

4. Rest in a prone position to restore yang

This sleep posture can enhance kidney energy: place your palms on your dantian and lower abdomen near the navel, with your feet facing each other and knees bent at a certain angle. Keep this position for as long as you can, without forcing it.

5. Soak your feet

The soles of your feet are connected to many meridians that relate to other parts of the body. Regular foot soaking can relax and regulate your body, promote blood circulation, and make you feel very comfortable. While soaking, you can also press and knead the Yongquan point on the sole to boost kidney energy.

6. Rub your abdomen before sleep

After meals, gently massage your lower abdomen to promote digestion and circulation, benefiting the intestines, liver, spleen, and kidneys. About 3 minutes per session is enough; after rubbing, remember to cover your abdomen before sleeping.
