Just found out dogs can actually eat oranges and honestly I had no idea. So if you're wondering are oranges good for dogs, the answer is yeah, they're pretty solid as occasional treats. They've got vitamin C, fiber, all that stuff. But here's the thing - you can't just give them the whole thing. The peel and seeds have some nasty stuff in them, so you gotta remove those first. My vet said max like 1-3 slices per dog, and only once in a while. Apparently puppies are more sensitive to it too, can mess with their digestion easier than adult dogs. Also if your dog is diabetic, skip it because oranges have a decent amount of sugar. I'm thinking of trying this with my pup since most dog foods already have the nutrients anyway, so oranges would just be a fun occasional snack. Anyone else giving their dogs fruit treats?
