Strategy purchased 13,927 BTC during the period from April 6 to April 12, 2026, with a total value of approximately $1 billion, at an average purchase price of $71,902 per coin. This is the 106th time the company has increased its holdings, and also the largest purchase in the past six months. After this increase, Strategy currently holds a total of 780,897 BTC; the total purchase cost is approximately $59.02 billion, with an average cost basis of about $75,577 per coin; accounting for approximately 3.71% of the total circulating Bitcoin supply worldwide.
In the two weeks prior, Strategy bought 4,871 BTC at an average price of around $67,700 per coin and 1,031 BTC at an average price of around $74,300 per coin. The scale of this 13,927 BTC purchase far exceeds the combined total of the previous two, and the buying pace has accelerated significantly.
At the Bitcoin price of approximately $74,577 at the time of announcement, the purchase price in this increase was about 3.7% below the market price, resulting in an unrealized profit of roughly $37 million during that week.
However, considering the overall portfolio, due to the cumulative effect of the higher previous cost basis, Strategy is still in an unrealized loss of about $800 million; the breakeven point is at $75,577.
