Been doing some research on luxury cars that are cheap to maintain, and honestly the options are better than I thought. Most people assume any luxury brand will drain your wallet, but that's not always true. I noticed the Japanese and Korean brands really stand out here. The Lexus models keep popping up in maintenance cost comparisons. The IS 300 looks solid at around $5,848 over ten years, and the ES 350 is barely higher. What's interesting is that both have only about a 15% chance of needing major repairs in that timeframe. That's pretty reliable. Genesis is another one worth looking at. The G70 averages around $7,221 in maintenance costs, which is still reasonable for a luxury car that's designed to last over a decade. I read that their parts are significantly cheaper than European luxury brands, which makes repairs way more affordable. The Acura TLX and Alfa Romeo Giulia are in similar price ranges, hovering around $7,200-$7,900 for the decade. If you're shopping for luxury cars that are cheap to maintain, the key seems to be going with Japanese or Korean manufacturers rather than European ones. Parts availability and replacement costs make a huge difference. First-year maintenance is usually under $400 on these, so they're not hitting you hard right away either. Definitely worth considering if you want that luxury feel without the repair shock.
