Just caught up on this Ross Stores exec shuffle from last year - Adam Orvos stepped down as CFO back in September 2025, and honestly didn't realize how long he'd been in the role. His replacement William Sheehan took over in October, which is a pretty smooth handoff since he was already deputy. What's interesting is Sheehan's been in retail finance forever - like 34 years of experience, spent 15 years at Lord & Taylor before jumping to Ross in 2006. So it's not like they brought in some random outsider, which probably explains why the market didn't freak out. Stock was up that day anyway. Adam Orvos had a solid run there, but I guess after being in that CFO seat you eventually want to move on. The retail finance game is no joke - constant pressure on margins, inventory management, all that stuff. Curious how Sheehan handles the current retail environment compared to how Adam Orvos managed things. These transitions at big retailers always tell you something about where the company's headed.
