been digging into some semiconductor penny stocks lately and found a few that analysts are bullish on. the whole chip sector's been wild with ai demand, so figured worth looking at some smaller players still flying under the radar.

ideal power (ipwr) caught my eye - tiny market cap but they're doing power converters for solar and ev charging. barely any revenue right now (like 78k in q1 2024) but they raised cash in an ipo and have enough runway to keep going. one analyst says could hit $14 which would be an 80%+ pop from where it was trading.

then there's poet tech (poet) - making optical modules for data centers. also pre-revenue but heavy into r&d for ai server stuff. they're burning cash but analysts think it could hit $7.55, that's like 140% upside. the whole photonic integration angle seems interesting for handling data in ai infrastructure.

last one is valens semiconductor (vln). this one actually has revenue (11.6m in q1 2024) but it's been declining. they do audio-video and automotive chips. analysts all rate it strong buy with $3.67 target. they've got solid cash reserves so not worried about runway.

these semiconductor penny stocks are obviously risky - they're either going to be the next big thing or go nowhere. but if you're into that kind of play, the analyst consensus seems pretty positive on all three. anyone else looking at early-stage chip companies right now?
