Bitcoin approaches the previous high of 76,000📈.
Should you bet on a breakout above the resistance level to go long? Or bet on wide-range consolidation to short?
After Bitcoin surged past 76,000, it is almost level with the previous high on March 16.
This has become a serious point of disagreement between bulls and bears.
One side, the bears, believe this is a wide-range consolidation and want to enter short positions.
The other side, the bulls, believe a breakout above the upper boundary of the consolidation is imminent and want to enter long positions on the right side.
In fact, whether you want to go long or short at this position, as long as you set a stop loss, there’s no wrong way to trade it, because the current market has entered a standard bear market sideways phase.
As long as you tighten your take profit and loosen your stop loss, everyone can achieve at least an 80% win rate.
This is a symbol of the foolish market after a bear market crash — the so-called money-giving market.
The market’s harvest phase is over; we are now in a fish-raising stage, which is also a money-giving market.
This is what I term as a wide-range bullish consolidation market.
In such a market, as long as you loosen your stop loss and tighten your take profit, you don’t need to pay any teacher or do rebate trading.
Just observe the recent market oscillation range:
Sell short at the highs, buy long at the lows,
loosen your stop loss,
and you can close one or two trades profitably in a day.
In trading, I believe both bullish and bearish strategies are valid, but they require skill.
If the strength is enough after breaking 76,000, then a direct right-side long position is recommended.
Short positions should not be closed at the left side now; that’s no different from gambling.
You should wait for a failed breakout below 76,000 and then chase the short on the right side.
This is the highest probability, best risk-reward, and most balanced trading strategy in this kind of market.
Watching the market for long or short is gambling; thinking about trading strategies is true trading🫶
